Description

The barn located to the southeast of Home Farmhouse is a structure from the late 18th century, built of rubble stone and topped with a stone slate roof that is half-hipped to the east. It features a central cart entry on the south side that projects with a hipped roof, along with a plain entry on the north side. There are blocked vent loops present. Inside, the barn has a brick-lined interior and a seven-bay double-purlin roof supported by tie-beam-and-collar trusses, which include queen struts and a king strut over the collar. Additionally, there is a low range of buildings attached, running north from the northeast angle. Historical records indicate that farm buildings have been present on this site since the 1760s.
