Description
The railway bridge at the junction with the road to Middlehill was built around 1840 by Isambard Kingdom Brunel for the Great Western Railway. This road bridge features an ashlar skew-arched design with a roll-moulded elliptical arch and a carved keystone. Above the arch, there is a moulded cornice and a parapet with ridge coping. The bridge has ashlar piers on each side that align with the railway track, along with raking ashlar-faced abutments. The cornice extends around the piers.
