Description

The Towsey Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary, approximately 8 meters south of the chancel. This late 18th-century monument is made of limestone and features a moulded table and base, along with small flush-beaded side and end panels. It commemorates Stephen Towsey, who died in 1791, and his wife Martha Smart Towsey, who died in 1827.
