Description

The boundary wall of Highfield, located along Hilperton Road, dates from around 1858. It stands approximately 4 feet high and is constructed of ashlar stone. The wall features a battered design with a roll moulding at the top. At the southwest end, the wall ramps up to accommodate gate piers, which consist of four decorative panelled piers topped with ball finials. These piers are connected by two quadrant walls.
