Description
Nos 26 to 32 Tory are a terrace of three 3-storey houses built in late 18th century or early 19th century ashlar. They are designed to create a cohesive architectural unit. The central house, No 29, slightly projects forward, while the end houses, Nos 26 and 32, also project forward a bit and feature shallow angular bays that extend through all floors. The windows of the central and end houses are arranged in groups of three, with plain reveals and glazing bars. Each house has a square-headed door in a plain opening, with steps leading up to them. There are plain strings at the first-floor level and at the window sill levels of the first and second floors, along with a moulded continuous cornice and a plain parapet. These houses are listed as Grade II* for their group value, as they form a cohesive group with Budbury House and Budbury Place.
