Description

A terrace of four houses built in the early to mid-19th century in Lower Brixham. The houses have solid rendered walls and slated roofs, with those of numbers 12 and 13 treated with tar. There is a brick chimney on the left side wall of number 12, and a base for another on the right side wall of number 13. The houses are three storeys high. Numbers 11 to 13 are each one window wide, while number 14 is two windows wide. Number 11 has windows with box-framed sashes. Numbers 12 and 13 form a taller, mirrored pair, with adjacent round-arched doorways in the centre, each having a semicircular hoodmould connected in the centre. Number 12 has box-framed sashes, while number 13 has plain sashes in a concealed frame on the third storey. Number 14 features a pilaster strip on the right-hand side, decorated with a round-headed panel. The terrace occupies a prominent position near the harbour.
