Description
61 Drew Street is a house located in Higher Brixham, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier, with some superficial remodeling done in the early or mid 19th century. The building features solid roughcast walls and a slated roof, with rendered chimneys on each end wall. The front door's position indicates a three-room cross-passage plan, and there is a rear wing to the left. The house is two storeys high and three windows wide. A late 20th-century plank door is situated between the two right-hand ground-storey windows. All windows are three-light wood casements, with three panes per light on the ground storey and two panes on the upper storey. The left-hand ground-storey window appears to be set in a former doorway. The end walls project slightly forward at each end of the front, suggesting that the rest of the front wall may have been rebuilt. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
