Description

The Tudors is a house that has been divided into flats, built around the 1840s. It features a plastered exterior and a gabled slate roof, with stacks that have plastered octagonal shafts and old crested chimney pots, showcasing a domestic Tudor style. The building has an overall L-plan layout with an entrance located in the angle between the two blocks.

The structure is two storeys high with an attic, characterized by deep eaves supported by brackets, cusped bargeboards, and deeply recessed windows set in chamfered reveals. The entrance front has a 2:1 window arrangement, with the main block on the right side, facing end-on to the street, and a wing to the left. There is a two-storey, three-sided entrance projection at the angle. The end of the main block features a projecting stack with set-offs, and the triple chimney shafts rise through a gabletted and half-hipped roof.

An Edwardian glazed porch, adorned with attractive stained glass, spans the angle between the main block and the wing. The entrance projection contains a round-headed doorway with a one-light window above it. The wing has two one-light windows on the first floor, while the ground floor includes a single-storey projection with a lean-to roof and a one-light window. To the extreme left, there is a four-pane sash window with horizontal glazing bars. The left return features small-pane casement windows and a double gable with cusped bargeboards. The right return continues in a similar style, including a canted bay window on the ground floor and windows with moulded architraves, some of which have dripmoulds. The interior has not been inspected but may contain interesting features.
