Description

This is a range of four houses forming an L-shape, located on Drew Street in Brixham. The building appears to date from the early 19th century, although it is likely a remodelling of an 18th century or earlier structure. It has solid rendered walls and a slated roof with rendered chimneys. The long street range is accompanied by two rear wings at right angles, the one to the right having a particularly steep-pitched roof. Numbers 60 and 62 occupy the left rear wing and the front portion, while numbers 64 and 66 occupy the remainder of the front and right rear wing. The building is two storeys high and has four windows facing the street, with a two-window return front to Home Close on the left. The front doors are 20th century wood. All street-facing windows are box-framed sashes; the left-hand ground and upper storey windows have 6 over 6 panes, the second windows from the left have 8 over 8 panes, and the remaining windows have 2 over 2 panes. The return front has a sash window with 6 over 6 panes in the ground storey to the left, and a late 20th century wood casement window to the right. The upper storey return front has two wood casement windows, likely dating from the 19th century, each with three lights of four panes in the centre and ten panes to the sides. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to contain features of interest.
