Description

No. 6 Wood Street is a shop with accommodation above, built in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has three bays. The ground floor has a 20th-century shopfront. On the first and second floors, there are sash windows with lugged stone architraves and bracketed sills, with the sills extending as a string course between the end banded pilasters. The central window is flanked by part fluted pilasters and topped with a pediment, while the other windows have been altered. Stone brackets support the moulded eaves.
