Description

Nos 11 and 12, along with the balustraded garden wall to the rear, date from around 1720. The building is two and a half storeys high, with a stucco front and a stone slate roof. The left side features a hipped break with a modern tile roof, and there is a dentil cornice. On the first floor, there are two segmental-headed glazing bar sash windows. The ground floor has a projecting shop front with a moulded fascia and three windows, and there is a through passage to the left. To the right, there is a four-bay lower extension with a moulded plaster cornice and glazing bar sashes. The projecting shop has a configuration of two, three, and two lights, with a recessed entrance that includes a nine-panel door adorned with a large hand and wreath knocker. A central gabled dormer is present, and there is a brick chimney on the right side.

At the rear, there is a large two-storey stone-slated extension made of painted brick, which forms the east wing and features a large external stone stack at the gable. Another two-storey extension forms the west wing, which is also partly stone-tiled. These two wings create a pleasant courtyard behind No 12. Additionally, there is a short section of 18th-century balustraded wall in the garden to the south. Behind No 11, there is a heavily enriched room with decorative cornice and ceiling rose.
