Description

The Old Bakery is a two-storey thatched cottage dating to 1823. It is situated in Oxen Place, Bishops Stone. The building is two bays wide and constructed of painted rubble with a brick chimney on the right end. The ground floor features tripartite casement windows, while the upper floor has segment-headed casement windows. A glazed lean-to has been added to the ground floor. A datestone centrally located on the first floor reads "T + Cox 1823 1 S". A mid-19th century slate roof extension extends to the left.
