Description
The K6 telephone kiosk is a standard design made of cast iron and painted red. It features long horizontal glazing in the door and sides, with crowns on the top panels that are applied rather than perforated. There are blue rectangular display signs that read E-MAIL + TEXT + PHONE beneath the shallow-curved roof. The kiosk has been modernised internally but retains its glass windows.
Located in the centre of Bishopstone village, the kiosk is at the junction of Hockerbench and Cues Lane. It is close to three listed buildings: Bishopstone Church of England School, approximately 15 meters to the south-east; the Old Mill, about 25 meters to the south-west; and Sayers Bank, roughly 25 meters to the north-east. The telephone kiosk has a strong visual connection with these listed buildings.
