Description

Lock Keeper's Cottage is an early 19th-century building located on the former Wilts and Berks Canal. It is two storeys high, constructed of rubble and brick with a pebbledash finish. The cottage features a hipped slate roof and has three windows, which include glazing bar sashes, with casements in the right-hand bay. There is a modern central lean-to at the south end that is angled, and a taller tiled extension with two windows to the north that dates from a later period. The cottage is included in the register for its historical and socio-economic significance.
