Description

Manor Cottages comprise a former rectory, now divided into two cottages, dating to the 16th century, with alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with a 20th-century tiled roof and brick stacks. It is two storeys high. The front features a projecting, gabled wing with a central 20th-century door set within a chamfered ashlar surround with a four-centred head; a similar surround is present at the rear door. There are two 2- and 3-light 20th-century casement windows, and a pair of 20th-century casements. A lower, two-storey extension is attached to the right. The interior may have originally included a cross passage, along with a hall and solar cross wing; it retains heavy, stop-chamfered beams with run-out stops.
