Description

The Arnold monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 22 metres west of the west porch of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Tormarton. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a flat top with a moulded edge and a moulded base, supported by plain quarter balusters. On the south side, there is an inscription surrounded by a garland of leaves and twined ribbons, commemorating Mary Arnold, who passed away in 1823.
