Description
The orangery, located 50 yards southeast of the Church of St. Michael and All Angels, was built in 1711 by Thomas Bateman of London. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a hipped roof made of slate and Cotswold stone slate, which is set behind a plain coped parapet adorned with urn finials. The structure has 11 bays, each with large glazing bar sash windows framed by architraves. In the center, there is a pair of glazed doors, and a plain cornice runs above the windows and doors.
