Description

MARSHFIELD C.P. CHURCH LANE ST 7873 14/23 Woodward tomb, 1 yard to east of south porch of Parish Church of St Mary G.V. II

Chest tomb. WOODWARD died 1755. Limestone ashlar. Panelled sides, enriched pilasters, moulded cornice; corner balusters and curved ends. The chest tombs represent a good collection of classical and local tomb forms and contribute greatly to the setting of the church.
