  1. 5118 BITTON UPTON CHEYNEY Dovecot about 100 yds north-west of Manor Farmhouse ST 6970 13/29C 11.5.53 II GV 2. Thought to be C16. Square plan, coursed lias rubble, with bands of limestone to north, quoins. Modern pantile roof, coped verges and saddlestones. Exit hole in each gable face with stone porch under. Narrow chamfered arched doorway to north. Interior: all 4 walls lined with nesting boxes.
