Description
The dovecot, believed to date from the 16th century, is located about 100 yards north-west of Manor Farmhouse in Bitton Upton Cheyney. It has a square plan and is constructed from coursed lias rubble, featuring bands of limestone on the north side and quoins at the corners. The roof is modern and covered with pantiles, with coped verges and saddlestones. Each gable face has an exit hole, and there is a stone porch beneath these openings. A narrow, chamfered arched doorway is located on the north side. Inside, all four walls are lined with nesting boxes.
