Description
Manor House Farmhouse is a late 17th or early 18th century building. It is constructed of coursed lias rubble with a modern pantile roof, featuring coped verges to the gables, and wide stone stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high with a gable-lit attic. It has three windows, with stone mullioned casements: the first floor windows are two-light, and those on the ground floor are three-light, each with drips. A central gabled rubble porch has seats inside, a flat pointed arch to the outer opening, and a square-headed half-glazed inner door. A mid-19th century catslide extension, two storeys high, conceals a stair turret and links to a parallel mid-19th century range. This range has segment-headed openings to the gable end. A two-storey stable building is attached to the western angle, but is not considered to be of special interest.
