Description
This is a group of four family chest tombs, surrounded by cast iron railings, located three yards southwest of the south door of St. James' Church. They date from the mid to late 18th century and are made of limestone ashlar. The tombs feature illegible square inscribed panels, corner balusters, and moulded plinths and cornices. This collection showcases a good variety of local and classical tomb designs and significantly enhances the setting of the church.
