Description

Dove Cottage and Box Cottage are a pair of estate cottages dated "AD 1875". They are constructed of rubble with freestone dressings and feature a Cotswold stone slate roof with plain bargeboards and a central ashlar stack. The cottages are two storeys high and have a symmetrical layout with two bays on each side, including an advanced gabled centre. The windows are three-light cross windows and two-light casement windows set under depressed arched heads. Lean-to porches are located in the re-entrant angles on either side of the centre, and there are panelled doors within chamfered doorcases. The cottages are included for their group value.
