Description

Upper Slait Lodge is a lodge built around 1750, attributed to Thomas Wright of Durham. It features a rendered exterior and a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves and decorative boarding, giving it a rustic cottage appearance. The building is two storeys high and has two windows on the front: single light casements, with one blocked off. On the ground floor facing the park, there are two bays with 1-2-1 light windows featuring Gothick tracery, and on the first floor, there are two 2-light casements. A panelled door is located in the east gable end, which is complemented by a Gothick-style rustic timber porch.
