Description
The Woodward tomb, located 2 yards to the east of the south porch of the Parish Church of St Mary, is a Grade II listed chest tomb dating from 1810. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features panelled sides, enriched pilasters, a moulded cornice, corner balusters, and curved ends. This tomb is part of a notable collection of classical and local tomb designs and significantly enhances the setting of the church.
