The Shapland Tomb, located 8 yards to the east of the east end of the north aisle of the Parish Church of St Mary, is a Grade II listed chest tomb dating from 1781. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features square panels, enriched balusters, and pilasters. This tomb is part of a notable collection of classical and traditional tomb forms, significantly enhancing the church's setting.
