MARSHFIELD C.P. CHURCH LANE ST 7873 14/37 Shapland Tomb, 8 yards to east of east end of north aisle G.V. of Parish Church of St Mary

Chest tomb. SHAPLAND died 1781. Limestone ashlar. Square panels, enriched balusters and pilasters. The chest tombs represent a good collection of classical and traditional tomb forms and contribute greatly to the setting of the church.
