Description

The Barber Chest Tomb, located 9 yards northwest of the vestry of St. Leonard's Church, dates from the mid-18th century and is dedicated to John Barber. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features oval inscribed panels with decorative borders, corner balusters, and a moulded plinth and cornice. This chest tomb is part of a notable collection of local and classical tomb forms and significantly enhances the church's setting.
