Description
Little Brook Farmhouse is a late 17th century or early 18th century farmhouse designed in an 'L'-plan. It is two storeys high and rendered, topped with a pantile roof. The building features two altered windows, which are 2 and 3-light wood mullion windows, and a central door that has a stopped ogee surround.
Inside, the layout consists of two rooms that open off a central lobby and staircase, with an 'L'-plan rear wing and stairs located in the angle. The lobby doors are made of moulded planks and have ogee stop-moulded surrounds. The staircase, likely from the mid to late 17th century, has moulded risers and one flight that projects into the east ground floor room, featuring turned balusters and pagoda-shaped reveals similar to mid-17th century staircases found in the area.
The west ground floor room includes ogee moulded beams and a cornice above a wide fireplace. The room directly above it has a cupboard with a moulded plank door, along with a ventilated door above that also features turned balusters, and a cornice above the fireplace. The first floor east room has an ogee-moulded ceiling beam.
