Description

The Till Chest Tomb, located 7 yards northeast of the porch of St. Leonard's Church, is a Grade II listed structure. This chest tomb is made of sandstone ashlar and commemorates Till, who died in 1802. It features square inscribed panels, along with a moulded plinth and cornice. The chest tombs in this area represent a notable collection of both local and classical tomb designs, significantly enhancing the church's setting.
