Description

This pair of pedestals and urns, located about 10 metres east of Dodington House, dates from the early 19th century. They are made of limestone and feature lead urns. Each pedestal has a plinth and a moulded base, with scrolled and floriate corners. The carving on the pedestals is very worn. The urns are adorned with reliefs of acanthus and nymphs, topped with a ball finial. These pedestals and urns are positioned in front of the bow on the east front of Dodington House.
