Description

A row of six houses located on the south side of High Street in Marshfield, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of rubble and have slate roofs with coped raised verges at each end of the row. They are three storeys high, with cellars beneath. Each house originally had two bays, and most retain 16-pane glazing bar sash windows. Number 127 has mid-19th century four-pane sash windows. Houses 131 to 137 feature three-light bow windows on the ground floor. The doors are a mix of 20th-century replacements (at Nos. 127 and 129) and earlier six-panel doors, these being under segmental hoods. A 20th-century hood replaces the original at No. 135. Group value is recognised due to the buildings' contribution to the streetscape.
