Description

This is a mid-18th century house located on the north side of High Street in Marshfield village. The house is built of ashlar and has a slate roof with coped raised verges and a moulded eaves cornice. It is two storeys tall with attics in dormers, and it has five bays with end quoins. The windows are glazing bar sash windows set in moulded architraves. A central first-floor window stands out due to its semi-circular head, Gothick glazing, and keystone that reduces in size as it meets the cornice. The central door is a six-panel door beneath a decorative overlight, and is framed by a plain surround and a flat stone hood supported by brackets.
