Description
This is a barn located 30 yards to the east of Cross Hands Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of rubble and features a slate roof, with the lowest two courses made of Cotswold stone slates. The barn has coped raised verges with saddlestones and follows a traditional Cotswold plan, which includes opposed porches: a gabled porch to the west and a square-headed lean-to porch to the east, both with two entrances. There is also a single-storey lean-to on the west elevation to the south. Inside, the barn has five bays in each part, supported by tie and collar beam trusses. This barn is situated on the edge of an Ancient Monument site.
