Description

The Cullimore Chest Tomb, located 8 yards northwest of the vestry of St. Leonard's Church, is a chest tomb commemorating James Cullimore, who died around 1780. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features square inscribed panels, enriched scrolled corner pilasters, and a moulded plinth and cornice. This chest tomb is part of a notable collection of local and classical tomb forms and significantly enhances the setting of the church.
