Description
This chest tomb, dating from the mid-18th century, is located one yard north of the north door of St. James' Church in Horton. It is made of limestone ashlar and features inscribed panels, although the inscriptions are illegible. The tomb is adorned with enriched borders, corner balusters, and a moulded plinth and cornice. It represents a notable collection of local and classical tomb forms and significantly enhances the setting of the church.
