Description

This is an 18th-century chest tomb located in the churchyard about 15 metres southwest of the tower of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Tormarton. It is made of limestone and features a flat top with a moulded edge and a moulded base. The tomb has corner pilasters adorned with festooned flowers hanging from rings. There are raised narrow panels on the east and west sides, paired raised panels on the north and south sides, with the south side being square and the north side circular. The inscriptions on the tomb have worn away over time.
