YATE CHURCH ROAD (west side) Double chest tomb 5 metres south of south porch of Church of St Mary

(Formerly listed as Chest Tomb, 5 yards south of porch of St Mary's Church)

GV II Double chest tomb. Early-mid C18. Limestone ashlar. Illegible inscribed circular and oval panels; enriched pilasters; pulvinated frieze and moulded cornice. The chest tombs represent a good collection of local and classical tomb forms and contribute greatly to the setting of the church.
