Description

The Arnold monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 24 metres west of the west porch of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Tormarton. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a hipped top, a moulded base, and corner pilasters with two flutings. There are paired inscription panels on the south side dedicated to Samuel Arnold, who passed away in 1847, along with other family members.
