Description

The gate piers and wall, located about 35 metres north-west of the Old Rectory in Dyrham, date from the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed from limestone ashlar. The wall consists of two sections, each approximately 3 metres long and 2 metres high, topped with coping. At the centre, there is a pair of square piers on plinths, each featuring a small pediment with a recessed panel as a capital on either side. Smaller piers are positioned at each outer end of the wall.
