Description

The Waterfront is a harbourside pavilion that has been converted into a restaurant. It was built in the late 19th century and features a stucco exterior with Tuscan pilasters or half-columns that separate the bays, along with a moulded entablature. The building has a panelled parapet topped with a moulded cornice and a flat roof. Its symmetrical design includes a front with bowed window bays on either side of a square central porch, with bowed wings that are set back on both sides. The structure is a single storey and has 20th-century windows in each bay, except for the half-domed niches beside the wings. All windows have glazing bars, including the central round-arched porch window that features a fanlight head. There are glazed doors on the sides of the porch. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
