The walls and railings at the road frontage by West Hoe Pier in Plymouth date from the late 19th century. They are constructed from Plymouth limestone rubble, topped with dressed freestone copings. The walls are adorned with ornate cast-iron railings featuring a round-arch-over-arch design, with octagonal pyramid-on-inverted-pyramid finials on the stanchions and arrow-head finials on the shafts.
