Description

This is a lime kiln located immediately west of St Keverne's Quay, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with remodeling that occurred around the mid-19th century. It is constructed from stone rubble and features re-used granite details. The kiln has a rounded shape and is built into a bank, with large corbelled round arch openings on either side. These openings have been blocked, and smaller doorways have been added, featuring granite lintels. Notably, the doorway on the south side has a part of a re-used granite apple press as its lintel. The top of the kiln has been capped.
