Description

Jasmine Cottage is a house that likely dates from the early 17th century, with a later addition from the 17th century on the right side and alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The exterior features whitewashed rubble, some rendered areas, and a pantiled roof with brick gable stacks.

The two-storey front faces north and has a gable on the left with a central stack. To the right, there is a gabled porch that includes a stone bench and an inner door set in a chamfered frame. An oven is attached and projects to the left. There is a straight joint indicating the addition on the right, which has two single lights with timber lintels at the ground floor. A lean-to is attached to the right, featuring a door with a timber lintel. The right side of the building is rendered above the lean-to, with a small single light at the first floor to the right of the gable stack. The left side has a 20th-century two-light casement window at both the ground and first floors, with an early lintel still visible at the ground floor.

At the rear, there is a three-light casement window with wooden ovolo mullions, iron stanchions, and a timber lintel at the left ground floor, along with a small two-light casement under the eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
