Description
Moorside Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid to late 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It features painted rubble walls and a double Roman tiled roof, forming an L-plan, vernacular farmhouse design. The building has two storeys.
On the west (front) elevation, there are three windows on the ground floor and two on the first floor, all of which are 3-light casements. The first-floor window on the left has ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds. The north (garden) elevation includes one glazing bar sash window on the ground floor, a 6-panel door to the right beneath a gabled porch, a panelled and glazed door to the left, and another 19th-century door at the far left. There is also a 3-light casement window on the first floor.
Inside, the farmhouse features thick chamfered beams with scroll stops and one internal 3-light casement window with ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds.
