Description

Clevedon Farmhouse is a farmhouse that originated in the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and 20th century. The building is constructed of rubble and features a double Roman tiled roof with stone gable stacks. It likely has a through passage plan and stands two storeys tall with two windows.

On the ground floor, there are paired plate-glass sash windows with painted wooden dentilled lintels. The first floor has 4-pane sash windows in exposed boxes located under the eaves. The central entrance features a panelled door with a glazed panel, topped by a triangular hood supported by wooden piers. To the left of the entrance, there is a small single light window at mid-storey, which may serve as a stair light.

Attached to the left side of the farmhouse is a 1.5-storey range of outbuildings, which includes a 2-light iron-latticed opening with a segmental head, a door with a segmental head and a partially earlier frame, another door with a stone segmental head, and two doors with timber lintels. There is also a 20th-century raking dormer on the right and a garage addition at single storey to the left.

The right return of the farmhouse has a plate-glass sash window on the ground floor, and there is a straight joint leading to a small single-storey addition at the rear, which features a 20th-century plate glass window. The rear of the building includes a single-storey addition with a glazed door and a 3-pane light, along with a 3-light casement to the right. The first floor has two 2-light casements and one single light casement under the eaves.

The interior has not been inspected.
