Description

UPHILL ROAD SOUTH 1. 5121 Uphill Nos 24, 26, 32, 34, ST 3058-3158 12/64 36, 38 and 40 (Sandcroft Cottages) II GV 2. Mid C19 and later. Originally all rubble, some now rendered. Pantile roofs. Whole block forms 3 sides of a square. 1½ storeys. Gabled dormer windows with fitted bargeboards throughout. Nos 36, 38 and 40 (South Range). Two 2-light square headed casements with elaborate glazing. Two gables to each house. Nos 32, 34 and one window of 24 (East Range). Two-light casements with square panes under segmental brick arches (No 32 has window and door under one large arch). Nos 24 and 26 (North range), as East Range but windows of No 26 have lost glazing bars.
