Description

This milestone, dating from the late 18th century, is made of freestone and features an upright design with a semi-circular head. It has an affixed cast iron plate that is also curved at the top, which displays the inscription: "4/MILES/TO/BRISTOL". The milestone is located at the junction with Wildcountry Lane on the southeast side of Weston Road in Long Ashton.
