Description

Hillview Cottage is a house that dates from the 17th century, with a 19th-century extension. It is constructed of painted rubble and features a pantile roof with brick stacks. The building has two storeys and two windows, plus one in the extension. The entrance is now at the rear, where there is a central plank door and various 19th-century casement windows. On the road side, the extension to the right (west) is blank, while the windows match those at the rear, and a blocked opening for a passage is visible. Inside, the cottage has stop-chamfered beams and an inglenook fireplace with a chamfered bressummer.
