Description
Cross Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century, with 19th and 20th-century extensions. It is built of coursed squared rubble and has a tiled, gable-ended roof with end brick stacks. The house has two storeys and originally features a three-window range. On the ground floor, there are two 4-light stone mullioned windows with hollow chamfers and returned labels, although these have been partially repaired in concrete. Centrally located is a 20th-century glazed double door with either a new or reset label above a concrete lintel. Above this, there are three-light casements with leaded lights. To the right of the original structure is a 20th-century extension, and at the rear, there is a 19th-century outshut. Inside, notable features include stop-chamfered ceiling beams.
