Description

Antell's Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1708, though it may include earlier materials. The building features squared rubble brought to courses and has a tiled, gable-ended roof with end brick stacks, one of which has been rebuilt. It is two storeys high and has approximately five window openings, with two blocked windows on the upper floor. The windows are mainly 20th-century casements with two, three, and four lights, mostly without glazing bars. There is a 19th or 20th-century part-glazed door that leads to an open, flat-roofed porch. The house is L-shaped and is said to contain early wattle and daub partitions, although these are now covered. Some original plank and muntin work can be seen on the upper floor.
