Description
Ludwell Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into two houses. It dates from the 17th century, with extensions from the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of rendered rubble and features a pantile roof with raised coped verges. It is two storeys high and has five windows, all of which are 19th-century crosshead casements. There are two entrances on either side of a central window; the left entrance is beneath a 19th-century gabled porch, while the right has a 20th-century stable door. The first-floor windows are designed as gabled eaves dormers, and there are tall brick stacks. At the rear, there is a 19th-century catslide roof and additional 20th-century extensions. Inside, the farmhouse contains three inglenooks, each with chamfered bressummers and some stop-chamfered beams.
